General questions

The program was tested extensively on different computers. If you should have problems nevertheless, please describe us your problem by writing.

So that we have the possibility to reconstruct the problem we need the following data:

Hardware (type of processor, harddisc, graphic card, printer)
Software (Ms Windows version)
A complete description of the error
A list of the steps, which caused the error
A list of the programs running during the occurrence of the error in the background.
Send log file
In the log file of the program, you can find information about the executing PC, as well as the actions which have been done.
The log file can be called from the overview mask over System\Log. Logs are written in the same directory as the program.exe and ist called <program name>.log

Questions to license key/product key

How does the license key work?

The Shareware version which we offer requires a license key. This license key is generated by an internal product key. You always find the product key by the start of the program. The product key must be indicated on the purchase of the program.

Product key calculation in filmmanager version 2.x
The product key is calculated by an internal number of the harddisk id.
With this we guarantee that no pirated copies come into circulation. If you should install Windows again, usually you do not need a new license key. If you should buy however a new computer or only a new harddisc, then you need again a new license key.

Product key calculation starting from filmmanager version 3.x/4.x / Covermanager /Bookmanager
In covermanager and filmmanager starting from the program version 3.x the productkey is calculated on the basis of the BIOS of the computer.
With this we guarantee that no pirated copies come into circulation. If you should install Windows again, usually you do not need a new license key. If you should buy however a new computer or only a new mainboard, then you need again a new license key.

UPDATES

How do I receive an update for the programs?

If you purchased a program you'll receive a message per email where
you can download the update.

You receive updates as long as the "major" version number of the program does
not change.

Example:
Your purchased version 3.1. of the filmmanager. You'll receive updates for
all versions 3.x.0
